I'm not a social documentary photographer. I'm not interested in documenting social conditions or trying to make the world a better place through photography. I'm just trying to make interesting photographs.

Chris Killip ne considère pas la photo comme un langage, comme un moyen de communication, mais seulement comme une expérience personnelle et intime.

I don't believe in objectivity in photography. Every photograph is subjective, because it's taken by somebody who has his own perspective on the world. Photography is a way of seeing the world. It's not about capturing reality, it's about capturing your interpretation of reality.
